Unlock Faster, More Accurate Airbag Model Calibration
Airbag model parameter calibration—such as inflator heat loss and outflow discharge coefficient—often requires extensive iterations, impacting validation quality and delivery times. Traditional airbag development methods are limited by the computational cost of high-fidelity simulations. However, AI and Reduced-Order Modeling (ROM) techniques offer a powerful solution.
ESI Group, part of Keysight Technologies, alongside Volkswagen and global airbag suppliers have been working on an industrial case study. Join us at the Automotive CAE Grand Challenge 2025 in Hanau/ Germany, where we will show how ROM-based methodologies drastically reduce airbag validation time, enabling thousands of parameter combinations to be tested in days, not weeks. Learn how Proper Generalized Decomposition (PGD), Design of Experiments (DOE), and reduced-order modeling improve model quality and streamline the process.
