Predicting the behavior and performance of spacecraft, as they exit our atmosphere and leave behind the relentless pull of gravity, are challenges that cannot be easily tested while still developing and planning for future spaceflight. Once free from the earthly bounds of the launchpad, a journey of potentially millions of kilometers will have to sustain the potentially hazardous first 500 km as it escapes the gravity well of Earth. The design and engineering of life-sustaining and life-saving equipment requires thorough testing and evaluation, in this track, we will further examine flight dynamics and effect of space flight on spacecraft and their crews.
