Please join us for one of two live webinars on Thursday, December 5th, for an interactive presentation on "What's New in VA One 2024.0."
This new major release offers Numerical SEA, a new method using component FE models to gain accuracy for complex structures that are difficult to model with classical, analytical SEA, in addition to General Surface Pressure load support for FE and several other enhancements related to model building and FE modeling. An overview will be presented with a chance for Question & Answer for the attendees.
Highlights of this release include:
Numerical SEA
- Introduction of Numerical SEA method: Complex structures that are difficult to model with classic, analytical SEA representations are represented more accurately by seamlessly automated, component-level FE models to provide key SEA parameters. This enables high accuracy of complex structures within the context of an SEA framework which retains its performance advantages for large models and high frequencies.
SEA
- Power Injection Modules will use a VPS solver
FEA Modeling
- GSP on FE Structure
- Rotational Results
- Import Export quadratic shell elements from pc file
- Read Unsupported Nastran cards script
General
- Alpha wrapping in shrinkwrap
- Clipping plane orders changed to be more intuitive for the user
Trim Modeler uses custom results “Thickness”. Ability to view results in units other than SI
