Use SimulationX to Predict Range and Optimize Batteries of Electric Vehicles
Ground Transportation
The video provides an overview about challenges on the system level, the multi-physical modeling approach and typical simulation scenarios using the system simulation software SimulationX.
You can see:
▪ mechanical, electrical and thermal design of different powertrain topologies and dimensioning of aggregates (engine, transmission, battery, inverter...) with the aim of finding the optimal compromise between range, dynamics and comfort.
▪ a predictive operating strategy with implementation of different driving modes (ECO, COMFORT, SPORT) taking into account boundary conditions such as ambient temperature (HVAC), slope profile (boost, recuperation), driver characteristics, battery aging, etc.
